Spence says his willing to jump to Middleweight

Too many pointless weight divisions if guys can just go up and down 2 divisions to fight the best guys...

Divisions should be far enough a part so fighters naturally only fit into one..

 

Stylistically, very debatable.

Too big? I can't have that Reg, From what I can gather they are basically the same height and Canelo has shed a lot of bulk now he has apparently stopped eating Mexican Beef.

Also I believe Spence has a longer reach? I don't think Canelo is the bigger man.

 

Problem is, it might not take many hits from Lemieux to leave Spence looking like The Cerebral Assassin.

 

Don't exaggerate or anything. He's not a big guy at all really. If he wasn't a boxer training all the time and maybe even on the juice? You can tell by looking at his body shape that he'd be a natural skinny dude. Kell brook is bigger build than him.

 

Brook is smaller than IMO less skilled than Canelo and was tagging Spence up on the back foot. I doubt Canelo would even have to backpedal against Spence.

 

Why is he considered too small to take on Canelo? Couple Tex-Mex meals in Dallas containing tainted
beef and BOOM he is a muscled up 160 pounder. I'd recommend El Fenix on McKinney next to the Perot
Museum. It's close to his DeSoto home.

 

Brook is taller and has a longer reach then Canelo

Canelo is listed @ 5ft9 with a 71" reach, he clearly isnt 5ft9 so we can assume the reach is well out too

 

Canelo is a 154lber and Spence is a huge 147, less than a full weight class apart.

Spence only looks about 3 or 4 weight classes smaller than Jarrett Hurd

And Brook is a lot skinnier and less broad than Canelo. Spence wore brook down in a way he wouldn't be able to do to Canelo. Not to mention Spence would have a harder time landing flush on Canelo in the first place.

 

I didn't say anything about weight, Canelo weighs more. I acknowledge that.

Weight isn't going to help you tag someone off the back foot, but length will as well as speed.

 

Talking about your stupid claim that 3G is some HUGE fighter. You've tried to say he was BIGGER than Jacobs when they fought FFS. get some glasses...

 

This. Spence is too green and would get countered to pieces by Canelo before getting stopped. Spence needs to start fighting good competition in his own division before he starts looking at 154 or 160. Canelo isn't damaged goods like Brook or a has-been like Lamont Peterson

 

So Mikey is going to jump up 2 divisions to WW to face Spence but when he does Spence will have already jumped up 2 divisions to face Canelo and when he does Canelo will have jumped up 3 divisions to fight Boxing Forum 24's favorite Cruiserweight; Daniel Jacobs.
