Bud gonna be busy taking Charlo's belt for a while. Spence should fight Boots and the winner gets a crack at Bud. It'd be a nice tune up. How do you see that fight happening?
But I thought Spence was dead at the weight lol. But seriously it would be a good fight. Ennis doesn't counter punch so Spence won't have to worry about being punished for his aggression like he was vs Crawford, but Ennis is fast and could beat him to the punch and force him onto the back foot where Spence struggles. Ennis moves better but without the ability to counter punch he won't be able to win by just fighting off the back foot, the man the forces the other backwards probably wins as neither are effective moving backwards. I might give the edge to Ennis, his speed and power might give him the edge but wouldn't shock me if Spence backed him up and broke him down late in the fight.
I agree. If I haven't seen the Crawford fight, I'd bet on Spence by TKO. Like Duran vs Moore due to the experience. But now I'm more 50/50
I'm going to go with a "Spence by hook or crook" decision. He won't hurt Boots and Boots inability to counter-punch will prevent him from KOing Spence, but he's fast and hits hard and will crack Spence's compromised jaw. But no way this fight happens because Boots is a welterweight and Spence has repeatedly said that was the end of him at welterweight win, lose, or draw.
I've always liked Spence Jr, I'm a fan but Boots is hungry, fresh, on the up and Spence Jr don't look right and has just taken a beating am deathly will take another one. Boots by stoppage, TKO, I don't think Boots cleans him out but o could see a referee jumping in and saving Spence Jr from himself.
