Decent numbers for their first PPV. Will be interesting to see Spence next PPV numbers against someone like Thurman or Porter without Garcia and his supporters buying. Seriously hope they can make the Bud fight whilst in their prime as it is the biggest fight in boxing bar Wilder Joshua IMO.
Yoooooo are you that Reeeeeeeeeeeee- Carded? That is a heck of a showing for two guys that only hardcore fans actually FKN know about in boxing.....PAC/ Floyd/ Canelo get a boost from casual fans
It did much better than I expected, but I live in the UK I didn’t know it had such a big promotion These are damn good numbers, the PPV system is not dead at all. Canelo-Golovkin 2 did 900K PPV, and this 2 was on PPV for the first time.
lol, but you were so sure, even laughing at my prediction of 350k. only reason youre not getting some embarrassing avatar, is because some classy poster had me in the same position, and gave me a pass. play it forward.
Not dead but the question is are we going to see regular 1 mil plus PPV Buys like before. I don't think so.
Great numbers, can’t remember what I predicted but it was nowhere near that. Well done to both of them.
Let's not forget, in all probability a large segment of the market that bought this fight were diehard Mexican boxing fans, who believed Mikey had a chance to become a superstar by beating Spence.
I don't think so. This was an unusual fight that drew casuals. Spence will have more PPVs but I don't think that will be the norm. Like when he fights Crawford, that will definitely be one.
Arum better push Crawford-Khan real hard, or he will have an even more difficult time getting Bud a good fight.
Fox made money from the fight if it sold 350-400k. Fox didn't spend much on promoting the fight. They ran a lot of promo on their own network. Its not like they paid for adds on the other major networks.
Mikey played a big part in delivering those numbers but Spence will go on to be an even bigger draw because he delivered and he delivered in a brutal and artistic manner. He has the people wanting to see more of him. He was gracious in his victory and his charisma was evident.
