If this is true, then Spence is doing exactly what he said he was going to do, and thats collect the other belts before he goes after crawford. But i dont know if Crawford will ever take the fight bwcause if spence gets that WBA, Crawford will be forced to take the low end of the pct. Spence pursues Ugas, while crawford stays with top rank and fights the Lopez' of the world. Hopefully we get to see this fight soon, now that it matters before one guy either loses, or worse, we never get to see it. Spence is the draw who sells more PPV And does better at the gate. Dont see why Crawford doesnt concede, take the fight and if he wins position himself in the rematch for the bigger purse in the future... hmmmm Thoughts on spence vs ugas? I think ugas is a dangerous opponent, more dangerous than josesito for sure. This content is protected
Well I guess if you mean PBC getting Manny's belt from him through administrative means and putting Ugas in so that you have an easier fight then yes he is "doing exactly what he said." Clearly he had no intent on actually trying to BEAT Manny any more than he has a desire to fight Crawford. When Spence beats Ugas, who is someone like Danny Garcia and Porter and will stand right in front of him, then he will "have trouble making 147" and move up to 154. PBC will not allow all the belts to be available in a fight with Crawford. IF they thought Spence could beat Crawford they would have made the fight 3 years ago. But of course people like you will buy in to the 70/30 split or some other excuse. After all Spenceaholics bought "let the fight marinate" and "he is on the other side of the street."
Ugas is or was underrated because he had a slump early on. I think if someone had to be given Pac's belt (I don't like these no fight interim belt upgrades), he was the best option. Spence and Crawford both win decisively against him though.
Haymon doesn't appear to have any confidence in his man Spence beating Crawford similar to him having no confidence what so ever in his man Wilder beating AJ and has avoided to make these fights happen. Spence will fight Ugas and then move up to a week divison full of weak PBC fighters. Haymon just like does with WWs will freeze out the most talented fighter in the divison and non PBC fighter in Madrimov.
Lol Spence’s last three fight has been PPV and the PBC has Ruiz vs Arreola as a PPV. This fight is for sure a PPV.
154 is definitely not weak and all the guys are fighting each other. I’d much rather have a division without divas that actually fight than what’s been going on at 147. If 154 was weak those guys that’s been hovering around 147 for 10+ would have been moved up and tried to get an easy title. But they haven’t because they know the size difference is significant with these crop of JMWs. There is no Yuri Foreman, Carlos Molina, Cory Spinks to get an easy belt from and call yourself a _ division champion.
