Spencer's always had a weird thing about Joshua being some sort of "all time great heavyweight". Spencer comes across as a nice bloke but some of his takes are way off the mark.
I know he suffered a life threatening injury, and I wish him no harm, but he really shouldn't be anywhere near a microphone as a ''pundit.'' The level of insight from guys like Frampton, Groves, Mckenzie and Barry Jones in comparison to AJ's PR man is embarrassing.
Groves always sounds stoned, talks shite, and Barry Jones is as thick as two short planks. Frampton and McKenzie are better, but nowhere near McCrory, Watt, Darke level. I’d also much rather listen to the old boys like Colin Hart and Jeff Powell. At least they’re interesting. Jones’ voice is enough
Really like Frampton, Oliver, Bunce and Gareth A. Also like Adam Catteral, TalkSport is OK by me. Sky commentary has been dreadful since the days of Darke and co.
The adopted name of “pundit” used by these sports commentators, is inappropriate as well as being ridiculous. It’s a Hindi description of a learned or wise man. Jones, Oliver, Bellew, Nelson etc and the squadrons of ex sportsmen we’re inflicted with on the media are shills for whoever’s flavour of the month! Really enjoyed Colin Hart, Jeff Powell when they did their magazine slot on Box Nation.
I thought he was at first but he convinced me he wasn't, I'm not too sure now. He doesn't realise that his obsession with hating Joshua is just as weird as Joshua's fan boys.
