Thats a very good summing up of how many see it Sugar. I disagree about CEJ making Spike look like a caveman though - CEJ really is not slick at all. Not saying it wont pan out like you say - but Jr is not all that elusive, by no means - and this is where he gives Spike (slow and crude an' all as he can be) a real chance IMO.:thumbsup

I don't consider CEJ elusive by any means. I just don't rate Spike at all. Perhaps he'll surprise me and I hope he does as I'm tired of watching Hearn mismatches sold as "50/50" fights.

Will you be cheering on McGregor this weekend? Apparently he was a fairly promising boxer in his youth.

Yeah, my knowledge of MMA is incredibly limited but from what I know Aldo looks to be top drawer. It's more than a little awkward for me as I have a friend who is a sports writer in Dublin and he - as Conor's friend as well as an expert - seems very emotionally invested in him winning.

Apparently the braggadocio is all for show, he's a really nice bloke when the cameras are off.

eubank COULD BE something special , i understand hes being hyped up right now , i get that with the matchroom and skytrain behind him , the fight against saunders i think can be forgiven , he basically froze and the loss could be a blessing in disguise for his future and the huge kick up the a$$ he badly needed , a lot of knowledgeable people in boxing have really tipped him up to be special , i think we should give the kid a chance , he is a brit after all , lets get behind our prospects , he could be a lot of fun to follow in future if things go right !!

    i think he stops o'sullivan inside 6 rounds !!

This post is ironic coming from you as every one of your posts is you blindly backing the Irish

How can you demand people have a proper discussion when a **** like you backs people purely by there nationality

I still want to hear his response regarding his trashing of Martin Murray and the fact that he gave GGG his most competitive fight to date........ :think

No he didn't you moron....he went in there to survive.....hid behind his huge tattooed arms and eked out the rounds. Didn't fight at all. Thank god he's finished now.

I lean towards Eubank by a British stoppage about rounds 7-8

Spike doesn't have the mobility to pose Eubank the same problems Saunders did.

They will come straight at each other and its probably a case of who can take a shot better. Eubank is a brawler but he does wing his shots in with fast hands and stamina wont be a problem with him.

I think a lot of it depends on how hard Spike really hits. If his power is legit then Eubank will need to box not brawl and that might leave himself open.

That said I feel Eubank is the better fighter. The Saunders results are obvious comparisons. The Chudinov fight showed that if you stand if front of cej he will hammer home his punches for round after round and even the lesser tier fighters he has beaten are better than those on Spike records.
