And I aint sitting here from the safety of my keyboard either, I've ended up spending the night in hospital after a fight, fought with a broken nose, broken hand. and I did it for no money and in front of a few hundred people. Quitting on live telly whn you're on that cash is a joke.

Well, let's face it., CEJ just beat the **** out of 'Spike'. After years of abuse from 'Spike' it was well deserved, but I was a little surprised at the retirement. Not exactly the heart of a lion. At least he had the stones to stay in the ring and well up with tears and such. I'll give him that much.

 

Really? I've followed the sport for a few years and judging by your thousands of posts you quite like boxing too ..... I have to say I can't see how anyone who likes boxing, knows even the smallest bit about it, could not find something to be impressed with in that performance from Eubank.

I've taken beatings worse than that in sparring and I've finished fights in the amateurs looking like I was in a car crash. If you're on the cash Spike O'sullivan is on live telly you should be fighting till you physically cant continue. Anyone that says they are thinking long term about their future career in order to justify their quitting is dreaming.
