Its been known for a while that Spike is heavy handed but it surprised me that he hits harder than Groves and Froch.

He caught CEJ flush a couple of times and made him blink, he must have good power!

Apparently CEJ burst Spikes ear drum and he couldn't see properly during their fight and he was having balance problems after the fight.

CEJ must be underrated a bit with his power too, if you look at what has happened to his recent opponents.

English is right, the fans shouldn't worry about Jr getting hurt, they should worry about GGG!!!

I believe him when says that, Spike clearly has power, and as far as I've heard/seen size doesn't dictate how hard someone can hit. Power however, is very overrated, boxing is more complicated than that. Steward for example said once he thought Naz hit harder than Lewis when comparing them on the pads.

he hit saunders with only a few, but some flush uppercuts and saunders was hardly wobbling.

Billy has an iron jaw fact and is such a better boxer. So slick and cute in there. :thumbsup

eubanks footwork was really exposed. :hi:

BJS is a very good fighter no doubt :good

His only flaw is his stamina and maybe power (although I think he hits hard enough)

BJS is the best pure boxer @ 160 I think but I place him behind GGG and CEJ because they are more complete having better power and stamina.

*I don't think BJS lives the life of a boxer 24/7, he even admits to bad habits outside of training camps. CEJ has surpassed him just through sheer dedication to the sport.

That was years ago mate, and CEJ was taking control of the fight in the later stages. I scored it for CEJ anyway but can respect the judges decision, it was close and there were some swing rounds.

It appeared to me it was more about what CEJ didn't do then what BJS did. CEJ may have been a bit green having never been past 8 rounds at that time. He has the rounds under his belt now

Uh oh....it appears we have a new Shockmaster on our hands.

James5000 has done approximately 21 threads in a little over a month pertaining to either GGG vs. Eubank Jr. both directly and indirectly.

This is a fight I am excited about? Why am I not allowed to have an opinion?

We need some balance, I admit there were a couple of semi troll threads but they were direct competitors to troll threads that had opposite views that had already been made.

Bjs beat Eubank. Eubank did nothing, he got schooled for the first 6 and bjs gassed and that's why it became close, nothing to do with boxing ability or power. On your scoring Scott Quigg must have beat Frampton aswell.

You never heard of the famed Spike O Sullivan,he's gained a reputation in the Gyms as the next Mike Tyson,if he were black you'd swear it was the man himself.:D
