Lemieux might be over-shadowed by Canelo and GGG at middleweight but he's only a tier below, he's no mug and ripped through the ranks to get to where he is.

You vastly overstate Lemieux's ability. Spike is trash. Lemieux taking out the trash proves nothing, other than Lemieux can KO bums, like O'Sullivan and Stevens, but get schooled by C levelers like Rubio.
