Ok so it’s maybe not strictly a British fight..( though spike was born there as I recall and Canada is tied to Britain in a way) .. anyway can spike win? Will he get blitzed?....

50/50 fight but I lean towards Spike, he’s been on a good run and Lemieux has been struggling too make 160 for quite a while now, spikes fighting him at the right time imo

Depends what Lemieux turns up, the very best Lemieux takes Spike out in 5/6 rounds. But he blows got and cold is the weight an issue?

Not sure but if i had to pick a winner of go for Lemieux.

He is generally 4/7 on with Spike at 5/4 !

Spike is a punchbag against top 10-15 guys.

Lemieux is evens to KO/TKO him. That is buying money for me.

I'm throwing caution to the wind and pick Spike to absolutely run rings round lemieux. There is a public blueprint on how to beat lemieux and Spike has studied it . Obviously if he stands in front of him he's likely to get put to sleep. WAR SPIKE

I’ve stuck my neck out and said Spike. As mentioned above, Lemieux is really struggling with the weight which means that he’s susceptible to the big shots particularly to the body. Added to that, although it wasn’t a beat down, it was a confidence shattering defeat by BJS. I think Spike is going to stand in front of Lemieux, lose round after round (much like Chisora v Takam) but his shots will be hurtful and will wear him down before an eventual stoppage.

    Spike TKO

Bloody hell twent that is an outlandish statement right there ! Never in my wildest dreams did i see Spike stopping lemieux. I was going for a more faster busier eye catching round stealing winning over the crowd type of affair . But now you mention the Spike dramatic stoppage I'm fully on board. In for a penny n all that . Let's av it Spike! !!

The weigh in will tell a lot. Lemieux has been coming in overweight and unfit in recent fights. Spike might beat THAT version of DL. Either way spike will have to “box” a bit more than he is used to. He can’t just slug with this guy. Spike is a better boxer than Lemieux...(insofar as David can’t box at all and spike can box a little bit)...spike is a big underdog here...he can’t just go in with a “punchers chance” approach. He has to have a plan.. bottom line .: spike is too slow and hittable and DL hits too hard. Sorry Spike but unless David is totally out of shape I’m going with lemieux by stoppage.
