He doesn't look comfortable in the ring to me, he fires off a couple of shots then jumps back to admire his work, the stop starting makes him tired, the longer Mundines career has gone the stiffer he looks to me.
I think he needs to work harder to throw more punches and more fluidly, he seems to be going more for power since the Green win.

Agreed. Choc looked stiffer and much slower than Ive seen him in previous fights.

But going for the power shots isnt necessarily a bad thing. Now that he knows hes got the power to do damage he seems to be running less.

    By the way...Jason Dunstall?

I only watched the coverage from the intros of Choc and Nader, did Briggs say anything about his future tonight?

Jason Dunstall should never have been talking.

Anyways yeah i had it about 118-110 for Mundine or the like.
Agree with all in regards to him sitting back & just admiring his work at times.

It was a good fight...I had it 117 to 111.

Both guys had a good fight but Mundine is just a few steps ahead on speed, power, skill and evasion.

Hamdens defence was very good...Mundine threw loads of power shots that Hamden took on the gloves....saved him from a KO.

I would like to see Sam VS Hamden.

I agree, as long as Mundine promises to not fight the winner.:D

It was an entertaining fight but Mundine was just a class above. Wouldnt it be nice if he fought guys on the same level as he is.

    I was at the fight...

The crowd was pro-Mundine... There was one section of seating where all the Hamdan fans were and though they were few, they were just the loudest...

This turned out to be a really tough fight. Mundine had to fight HARD to win, but clearly one every round (from an 8 rows back perspective).. possibly one or two rounds drawn.

Mundine copped what looked like some really tough shots. Though they were few and far between.

Also gotta be the first time i've seen Mundine tire out this bad at the end of the fight. He was really struggling to breath by rd 11 but showed some real grit - not something we see often from him - and managed to return anything Nader threw at him. Some time, I think rd 7 when the cut occured, Hamden caught Mundine really well and actually had him backed up. Some great work from Hamden showing he's not as past it as some thought... But Mundine came and threw the hardest punches of the night - a real clear and decisive difference between Mundine's 'coasting' and putting everything in to his shot. Would like to see him pull that out more! He could stop a fight with that sort of power...

Hamden smashes Soliman. Any day of the week these days... He's way too strong and his toughness is freakish.

Undercard sucked.... few fights in the crowd early but nothing to write home about...

Not a bad night for a free ticket!

A good fight for Mundine, despite what some might say.

i'd say people have overreacted in the past and his whiskers have always been okay. Some knockdowns are overblown and the Ottke KO was a solid shot on a tired, inexperienced fighter.

For what is worth and from what i saw last night he took some shots on par with anything he's been hit with before and did double the damage back immediately.

Yeh looking back at the Ottke KO footage, it doesnt appear to be the temple as many suspect, but a solid shot that snapped his neck back and likely cut off blood supply to the brain.
