Fedor Emelianenko (Pictures) vs. Hong Man Choi (Pictures) Round 1 The size difference is truly amazing. Fedor rushed in take Choi down but it was the South Korean who executed the tackle. Fedor went to an armbar but Choi powered out and slugged the Russian with some sloppy right hands. Fedor, showing damage from the shots, cracks Choi with a left hand but is again taken down. Fedor again went for the armbar, but this time it's deep and Choi was forced to tap. The official time is 1:54 of the first period.
Ughhhh.....................Hopefully Fedor can fight someone good next time. Hopefully Barnett will step upto the plate! And of course the ineviatble showdown with Couture that will happen in October of next year.
****! Zentsov lost! And to Russow? What the hell, Roman is better than that, has he stopped training with Fedor or something? He seemed to be making progress skill wise during 2005/2006 while in Fedors camp. Did he leave red devil?
That qoute was quite accurate.I expected Choi to at least make it a fight with his size.Oh well it didnt happen.
http://mixedmartialartvideos.com/2007/12/31/fedor-emelianenko-vs-hong-man-choi-yarennoka/ Theres the fight, if anyones interested. Fedor has a ****ing HUUUUUGE bruise on his head! Thats crazy!! When he locked on the first armbar and Choi sat up, it looked like one of those ridiculous Photoshop jobs were Fedor was armbarring a Grizzly Bear. This content is protected I also think he may have dislocated/broke Choi's arm.
Still mighty impressive.Fedor looked like a small boy up against Choi. Its amazing to see the amount of physical damage Choi inflicted in such a short period on Fedors face unless Fedor bruises really easy.I know his susceptible to cuts so thats probably a factor. It seems his skin is the Micheal Brodie skin of MMA. Fedor makes it look to easy. His ground game is certainly one of the best iv ever seen.He doesnt tend to have a wide array of submmisions but finds a way to turn almost anything into a Kimura or an Armbar.Even if he fights Couture the result would be the same.
Yeah Fedor's armbars are ridiculous, I don't think I've ever seen anyone pull them off like him not even lightweights or featherweights, he backward rolls into them off his back, just like the Coleman armbar. They're pretty sick, how he moves his body in the guard using his hips is incredibly impressive. Not even GSP can do it as fluid as that! (Not yet anyway:hey)
Fedor via armbar? Who would have guessed it, hah. I do enjoy watching huge men get their arms broken by smaller guys, though.
