Has Mayweather found his own personal La Motta/Frazier/Duran? I can't see how Maidana lost that fight. Minus the kd It was like Toney v Jirov in reverse (if that makes sense). EDIT: After rewatching it yesterday and scoring objectively, I scored the fight 116/113 for Mayweather. I suppose it just goes to show what a difference it makes when you tune out the commentary and the crowd.
I thought it was a close fight, but as I thought the Yanksgave big marks to aggression,I think there is an argument to say Maidana won.Neither fighter was troubled and Maidana was on the front foot all fight.
What fight were you lot watching, they were both ****. Scrappy boring fight with Mayweather winning it on being able to land clean punches every once in awhile, Maidana couldn't land **** was a dirty ****. Shite fight. Anyone who wants to see a rematch are stupid as **** and incredibly gullible.
Spot on. I never thought for a second Maidana won & can't believe the amount of people saying he did, by comparison to FM usual "fights" i suppose it was competitive at times but certainly not the 50/50, toe to toe in centre of the ring i've seen described in some American reports.
Would it be fair to say that Maidana won the brawl, but Mayweather won the boxing? If the fight was out on the street, I'd pick Maidana all day long. However as a boxing match I struggle to score it any better than a draw for Maidana. I thought Mayweather won that close but clear.
