I haven't seen the fight yet but from what I understand , Herring managed to knock down Nogueira and almost Koed him with a highkick? is that right?...

Heath hit him with a leg kick, and Nog fell backward onto his rump. He was in that awkward position with his legs elevated off the ground and his back at about a 30 degree angle with the ground. He was just sitting there all rigid, then Health fell on him with blows. Nog put his hand up to defend, but he ate a TON. The ref let it go (I'm not complaining, but I've seen that type of punishment lead to a stoppage about 99 percent of the time). Then Heath just stops raining down the blows and stands up. It looked like he wanted to knock out a wobbly Nog on his feet, but Nog made it through the round. Silly Texan.

I think if Heath wouldve stayed on top for couple of more punches, it wouldve been over. Bet yea, heath got in some crooked kick in. He got really lucky because Nog was just pushing forward 100% of the time and got careless.

Before the fight, i said "If Nog loses this fight, i swear i'll will stop watching UFC". My heart stopped when Nog got KDed... phew.

So someone posted my description of Nog after eating that leg kick from this thread on Sherdog. That was kinda weird. I was reading some guy's post, and thinking, "Hey, I wrote that!" Someone owes me 2 dollars!

According to Nog, that was the hardest he's ever been hit hands down. It sure looked like it.

I think if Nog hadn't been totally dominating every second of the fight before that the ref probably would have stopped it.

Nobody else think it was a fix? Nog was out, to the point where the referee should of stopped the fight straight after the kick, like Crocrop/Gonzaga. Then Herring landed some clean hammerfists. Still no referee interruption. Then, the thing which really got me, despite Nog having no defence, Herring asked for the stand-up. The rounds ends, and then in the next 2 minutes, with Nog still hurt, Herring doesn't press the attack ONCE.

I am 95% sure this was a fix. The referee should of stopped it and Herring should of applied pressure when Nog was out.

Nog was probably scared of getting caught in a submission.

Every MMA fight nowadays is called a fix by some raving paranoid lunatic.

I think the real issue here is that Heath has made a career out of doing stupid **** like that. It certainly wasn't a fix.

GTFOutta here, it was no fix. The only fix MIGHT have been is Big John been told not to stop a fight until it was no other choice. Nog was dazed but not unconscious.
