    andy price- never really reached long term star status and lost to some of the contenders of his era but managed to beat both carlos palomino and pepino cuevas, a feat only equaled by the great roberto duran.

    Don't think Ruiz is that much of a spoiler. He's good against the low top ten guys of the past decade, but that says more about his competition than him.

    He's the only HW beltholder to lose to former middleweights. Decent fast boxers box circles around him, and big punchers can have a field day with him like Tua did.

    Ruiz is underated. Lewis threw his belt away rather than fight him, wlad and vitali wouldnt fight him because they were afraid hed make them look bad. Ruiz with his clutchy grabbing style would offset wlads clinching tactics, and with his durable spoiler style he could outlast wlad into another panic attack. Not anymore, but in the past it could have happened.

    Ruiz also knocked out some fairly durable fighters.

    Of course he wasn't going to knock out Holyfield in their three fight trilogy, but in years past he managed some good wins.

    Golota wasn't a huge puncher and was past his best but dropped him twice as well. Valuev and Chageav have OK power but nothing like the ATGs and very good sluggers/punchers that he'd be trying to steal a win from. Just off the top of my head I see Tyson, Louis, Liston, Foreman, Lewis, Frazier, Marciano, Dempsey, Jeffries, Ike, Shavers, Big Cat Williams, Tua obviously knocking him out with ease, and these are just big punchers, not even factoring boxers who also boxed Johnnys ears off numerous times.

    Nicolay Valuev is a top 3 heavyweight today. he is the best giant of all time, at 7'0 325lb with his MUCH IMPROVED boxing skills, i think he is the biggest threat h2h in the heavyweight division today. i think he takes chagaev in the rematch. wlad needs to fight valuev. Valuev will probably move into my top 50 heavyweights of all time list before he retires. he looked superb vs liakhovic.

    Ruiz isn't a terrible fighter I usually give him more credit than most. But he was easily outboxed by two former middleweights and was knocked out in 19 seconds by a different fighter.

    Ike was taken the distance by a spoiler fighter who loved to clinch in Marion Wilson, actually.
