yeah, have you looked at floyds legacy?

hes the one who fought hatton after collazo just kicked his ass , alos a welterweight beating up on a smaller fighter coming up
    JMM...zero fights at 147, zero fights at 140, 2 fights at 135, 2 fights at 130..over 50 at 126...vs the welterweight champ floyd..WOW..amazing
beat an old dlh who who was just knocked out by hopkins, ass kicked by sturm, lost to mosley.....impressive
beat mosley...the oldest fighter ever to win a welterweight championship...but stil waited 16 months after that...where the guy is knocking on the door of age 40...

Nah.... His accomplishments are apart of history. He's immortalized as a boxing legend....in the US Pac is a star....which ain't bad for a non American athlete. He's an icon in the phillipines which are really the facts.

You are correct, but I don't rate Hatton as a highlight fight.
Again you cry about Flloyd fighting JMM, I didn't like it either, but isn't Manny doing the exact same thing now, after Floyd did it?

You can say what you want, but it still remains plain to see that after moving up north of 130 Manny has been highly selective of who he fights and how he fights them.

I don't understand why any Manny fan would bring up the ODLH fights at 147 seeing that ODLH had been out of 147 for damn near 7 years and was severely dehydrated to the point that even Manny's own trainer said he saw IV marks.

You can say whatever you want about Mayweather though, but in my opinion his record and level of comp 135 - 154 has been superior to Manny's mainly because he hasn't engaged in the catchweight game when he moved up and usually fought the lineal or consensus #1 in the divisions he competed in.

Floyd amatuer career started at the same weight as Pac's pro career, it isn't Floyd's fault Manny started in the pros so early.

They are both the same size though.

Yes in the US Pac is famous, he isn't old school Jack Johnson, Joe Louis, Ray Robinson, or Mike Tyson famous, which is what you tried to claim.

His accomplishments are known and that is what is being discussed in this thread, how his accomplishments might be viewed later on.

Pac cherry picking paper champs is just as bad as Floyd taking the mandatory to fight for Gatti's paper 140 belt.

If I remember correctly Floyd tried to fight Hatton at 140 near the Gatti time, but Ricky's dad killed the fight. I remember Floyd saying Ricky's dad killing a potential fight at 140 by saying Ricky wasn't ready yet.

While you are looking at the video notice how the goal posts constantly change for Floyd.

He gets heat for fighting Zab instead of Baldomir, the lineal champ, then he gets heat for fighting Baldomir the lineal champ against a belt holder like Margo. :rofl:rofl:rofl

Then he gets heat for fighting Oscar at 154 than Margo at 147.

    **** is funny as hell.

Yes, Floyd will never satisfy the public, but that's partly his own doing because he's so confident.

I think that article sums up the general perception of Mayweather vs Pacquaio issue.

No matter how his supporters twist the situation in favor of Mayweather, bottomline is, if the fight do not happen as it is, he will eventually be remembered as an undefeated fighter who chose not to fight the best in his era.

I doubt he made picks. He's just recently started venturing into the boxing side. And it's kinda obvious. :yep

Pacman will punish that body if Floyd leans on the rope with his high guard on.

Imagine Pacman landing that Left and right combo.
