Relax.... 1.15 Mill is still good kid. It's lower than I expected but Floyd should be thanking Vic for the infamous headbutt that lead to the controversial ending. Had there not been a controversial ending then this PPV even would have come in UNDER a million which would have been a disaster for Floyd.
1.15 million, at the prices they charged, is still pretty damn good. I was hoping it would do less. I hope all Mayweather/Pacquiao fights do poorly PPV wise until they face each other.
where do these people sources come from??? steve kim said it 850k according to his sources dan rafael said it did 1.2 mill according to his sources fighthype.com said it did 1.3 mill according to their sources chris mannix said it did 1.15 mill according to his sources
Now with Pac vs Marquez III on the horizon Pac's ppv numbers will be even more set in stone. I dont know a mexican or pinoy that is not going to order that.
SI is a very reputable source for any sports related event. They ensure their brand is only tied to the most accurate stories to grace their magazines. Plus....it's a neutral party meaning they aren't like Ben Thompson or Mike Marley who are known Floyd and PAC supporters respectively. With how long it's taking for HBO to release the numbers and Floyd having the final say in the "official" release from Golden Boy based on HBO's numbers....I'd say 1.15 is accurate. But who knows for sure.:think
every Mexican will be ordering Pac-JMM LOL ORALE !!!!!!! and Floyd fans will be tuning in via illegal stream
1.15 is probably accurate. however, whats up with people saying 1.15 is bad? although they did hype this up more than most of mayweather's fights. the fee was a little bit higher. remember, mayweather makes more money than pac anyways. with thtat said, is mayweather's star power diminishing?
yea and dan rafael who works for espn said it did 1.2 mill. im not believing anything till hbo confirms it.
What did Mayweather expect? Ortiz had 1 fight at ww his light ww time wasnt exactly good. The fans have caught on what Mayweather been doing for years. little risk big pay day. And what a joke fight it was. I woulnt be supriced if Mayweathers next fight gonna do alot less
