I SAID... Pacquiao has sold more PPVs than any other boxer every year since 2008, thus making him the undisputed PPV king for four years in a row. Where are the naysayers to dispute that statement? :huh
He could have bought the tickets at the arena..COULD have. alas he paid with cash. PPV's, I don't think so..unless he left his enterauge at the house.
Why? I would think if Ortiz fought the fight of his life, instead finding a way out of the fight, it would've done better than it did (in terms of post-fight sales). But, 1.15 is great...just not outstanding, by Floyd's lofty standards.
All this back and forth bitching about ppv numbers. Am I the only one who wishes Floyd and Pac do terrible with regards to PPV's? You know, so they have nowhere else to go other than each other in order to make a huge payday.
rafael tweeted a while back that it is more close to 1.2, but, we wont know until money solves his irs problems
No, people would rather have the pleasure of knowing their man-crushes make 8 figures. "Haha, Floyd made $40 million and Manny old made $32.74125 million!" "Manny outsells Floyd, hooray!!!" ****Drives a Pinto to the gas station****
*****s like to quote misleading figures. In the other thread, someone compared the total PPV buys of Pac and Floyd but didn't include Pac's buys from Margarito and Mosley despite including Mosley for Floyd. :rofl
When you consider Mosley had name appeal with the casual fan and Ortiz did'nt. if those are really the numbers, the Mayweather numbers look more impressive to me. Mayweather outsold Paquiao in the head to head matchup with Mosley as well.
Hopefully this addresses one of the hurdles that Floyd set for the Floyd - Pac fight - that he gets more than 50/50. Theonly question here is if he will come up with another one?
