I saw Mickey Walker at #10 and thought there may be some hope for this list yet, only to find Ricardo Lopez at #9. They also have the wrong photo for Joe Gans. Otherwise the list is better than expected. But man, Ricardo Lopez?
Sticks out like a sore thumb in that list. You couldn't name 3 legitimately great fighters the man beat.
Forget 3, how about just one? The guy obviously had excellent skills, but I wouldn't even rate him the best of the Jr. Flyweights.
Kind of like with Orlando Canizales, who didn't have the stiffest title defenses of all time. Both tremendously talented though, you can see their all-time great credentials strictly through their performances.
SI despite it's inclination to disregard boxing has done a great job with this section. Right on the money from what I've seen. (edit not sure about the greatest fight of all time though, im sure theyre referring to social greatness or something)
