Hi, Hope you guys will vote for David Haye! I know he's not everyones cup of tea... but, He's a BOXER!! And its the BBC. Would make a BIG statement to the channel if we could get him anywhere in the top 3. At the end of the day, he makes sacrifices for his achievements, trains until his body is shattered, risks his life getting punched in the head - be it sparring or fighting and actually does have a personality. Even if u don't like him, you care enough about him to slag him off! The other thing is unlike some of the others, boxing is an individual sport. Cricket? come on! Jockey? So if he rides a slower horse than you does he still win?? You get what i mean. We need boxing back on mainstream tv, the beeb are a disgrace and i just think we need to make noise rather than moaning quietly. By picking up the phone and getting him in the top three i think it makes them aware. And no, this isn't just because of my links to Hayemaker. I'll be saying the same next year when Khan and Froch are nominated as well as David!!!
Huge David Haye fan but he cannot justify my vote this year unfortunately, Im voting for Graeme McDowell.
Far too harsh but still, Haye is 100-1 and those are a fair reflection of his chances. The Audley farce did for him.
Sorry Dave. I'm a boxing fan but I'm also a sports fan. No way Haye deserves to be in the top 3. Even his 'personality' has gone down in my opinion after a year of talking was backed up by nothing in the ring.
Not a chance. I really can't stand Tom Daley, but I'd sooner vote for him than Haye. Froch or Khan I'd definitely vote for - they are better fighters and better personalities than Haye. Can't wait until October 2011, when he finally retires. Or will he lie about that too and carry on fighting?
Lying to fans, faking injury, breaking promises, fighting bums, ducking boxers. I'd say it's an accurate statement and far from harsh.
Like i said, it's a matter of voting for the sport really that i'm hoping for. I can understand what fans are saying, Froch and Khan will be in next year. But for me, even if i don't like a fighter, i will still support them if its good for the sport or for british boxing. People talk about boxing as a minority sport these days. If it has no support it will never get back on free to air tv.
I understand Dave but the BBC have been a disgrace with regards to boxing as Warren said and i feel Haye's abandoned us as fans. I once thought he was one of the few guys who fought for us as fans but obviously i was wrong. I won't be voting for them reasons.
