On a side note, my vote this year would go to Graeme MacDowell

 

the fact not even hardcore boxing fans are supporting a vote for Haye says it all. He doesn't deserve it.

Him winning would not push the sport forward more than his farcical fight with Audley Harrison put it back.

If Haye does what he said he would 2 years ago and actually grow some balls and fight a Klitscko he may get my vote, but he will hopefully have tough competition from Froch and Khan.

I could list 100 British boxers that deserve it more than Haye this year. 2010 has been a joke for everyone but his bank manager conning the British public.

It would be a sorry, sorry state of affairs if Haye became SPOTY. Even beating prime versions of Ruiz and Harrison wouldn't justify him winning. Any of the other 3 British world champions deserve it more
