What is it, and how Specific should it be. I know quite a few Great Fighters, who did other Sports that they were Good at. Some even Excelled at them, your thoughts, on Motorization and input, to make things work and Flow. :D. Plus the crossover with other skill sets.

Everything has transfer benefits, learning skills/coordination is just gaining new memories. If you want to improve something you need variation, you do something and you need to perform that movement pattern. If you go and do something different then come back then you need to consciously redo that movement, that enhances learning. Doing something over and over again isn't the best way to learn because you're going through the motions, the more often you can make a movement memorable the more permanently it will be etched into your brain. Playing different sports enhances awareness of the body so proprioception will be enhanced. That's especially important for children to be playing different sports, the experts in the field all agree that kids shouldn't be focused on a particular sport too early. Kids that do focus on one sport at a young age are generally less successful than kids who play different sports until they are teenagers and then focus on one sport.

Could not agree more, Trouble is in Britain there seems to be a Time warp implementing ideas on the theme.I travel round different Academy's in lots of Sports by invite, and find very little creativity on the theme in coaching and S& C in these places, it Baffles me.
