I was on my way home last night and was going through stations on the radio when I heard these guys on a sports station discussing Wladmir Klitschko, so I tuned in to see what they were saying....and this is basically what I heard.

"Yeah, Klitschko didn't look that good against that Ibragimov guy on Saturday....I was never really impressed with him anyway....he barely lasted five rounds with Lennox Lewis, what, five years ago? I mean Klitschko had like nineteen cuts when Lewis knocked him out. Todays boxers are glamour boys only in it for the money....that's why MMA is taking over."

    :huh :-(

Yikes! Maybe some of these guys shouldn't discuss boxing at all on their shows.

Most people think they know boxing, but really they are dumb asses. When someone tries to EXPLAINE boxing to me or argue their point that some fighter really won and was robbed, I ask them "How many Fights do you watch in a year?" They'll say somthing like 3/5. In a good week I can cover that.

Take a look at the top ten, Vlad is cleaning it out. The idiots on that show have an agenda and can't see the truth. OK, Vlad will soon knock out Thompson and Povetkin! He has already beaten Peter, Brock, Austin, McCline, etc. Who in the Hell do they want him to fight? Bring 'em on!!!!!!!

I think if Wlad would of knew of all the backlash he was going to be getting after the fight, I think he would of took a chance and went for the knockout, matches like these are what Heavyweight Boxing needs less of, to try and restore the the struggling division.

hate to break it to you, but wlad will take as few chances as he can to win, he only unloaded against peter because that's the only way he could win, if he did so against ibragimov the sport would be loving him right now.

this is a terrible sign for boxing.

It's similar in the Russian press, actually. A recent article published by "Komsomolskaya Pravda" (one of the biggest selling newspapers in the country) said: "Upon losing his title to Klitschko, Ibragimov will now have to go through another eliminator, like Nikolai Valuev did when he won an eliminator and got his title back from Chagaev"

Not that I'm trying to call anyone out, but what's the correct spelling of his name, Wladimir or Vladimir? Because I always thought it was Wladimir...

That's how Germans spell it. Who cares anyway. You think he'd start throwing a hundred uppercuts per each fight if his name suddenly changed to Vladimir?

    No, but how I wish.

  13. This is how the average joe sees boxing and that's why it's losing to Ultimate fighting and MMA:deal
Those ****ers are right Klits looked scared to get hit and looked like **** against a dude half his size with very modest pop..
This is why the Heavyweight division reeks like dog****, it's supposedly best fighter, fights like a wuss, slaps holds and is afraid of serious combat:-( People pay serious $$$ to see a good fight not that Bull****..
**** Lennox Lewis was a way better champ then Wlad could ever hope to be and if he came out of retirement tomorrow and trained, he would knock out Wlado in 7 rounds..

Half of the boxing "experts" no **** about the sport let alone sports commentators who don't follow boxing.

    Its a double-edged sword here.

On one hand boxing is getting some exposure but on the other hands its getting exposure from creatins. Oh well.

  15. :good You got that right..
That's why the MMA and Ultimate fighting are on the RISE!!!!!!
