Golovkin came on ESPN's SportNation today, and it was one of the best things I've ever witnessed.

This was entirely too much fun to watch, so enjoy :good

Nice if I'm correct they rarely bring boxers on espn besides floyd/pac and their opponents.

Good segment. Although I would disagree with him that Canelo is his biggest challenge. I actually think Floyd at 154, Cotto, and Ward are all tougher matchups for him. Hopefully we eventually see him against at least 1 or 2 of those guys.

He's only saying that because Canelo brings the mainstream attention, the money, the PPV, and the belt. (Golovkin knows Canelo will gain the WBC from Cotto). That's why he said after that question that it was the best situation for him.

If that were the case then he would've said that Mayweather was the biggest challenge as he said Mayweather was the biggest fight. Everyone knows that Ward is the biggest challenge out there for him between 154 and 168. That fight won't be happening though, neither will the Floyd fight. So hopefully we get to see a fight between him and the Cotto/Canelo winner.

  6. I can't front on Gennady. When he fights and I drink that **** brings back memories of a young fella that wreaked havoc in the late 80s and 90s.
Canelo is his biggest challenge because he can box a bit and is strong as **** too.

Which is why Golovkin said Canelo. He's being realistic.

anyone else notice how small GGG is?

  11. I can't. Some fighters are fronting on fans ie Broner , Chavez Jr., Quillin and Manny for that shoulder fiasco.

  12. Next to a 6'6" football player yeah, cuz, he looks small

Yeah, couldn't believe he was my height. I don't why but boxers seem to consist of a lot of short guys. 5'10 isn't necassarily short for Golovkin, pretty average for a dude but then you get guys like Pacquiao (5'5), Mayweather (5'8 ), Lomenchenko (5'7), Cotto (5'7), Marquez (5'7), Gonzalez (5'3 !!!), Tyson is 5'10 too, so on so forth... what are some 6'0 + dudes besides Froch, Ward, and Chavez Jr?

I bet if you put Bradley or Broner to say nothing of Maidana (in their in between fights shape) near him, they will look huge.

Small in this case meant "thin".
