I bought Smokestack Lightning on Kindle some months ago.

Absolutely brilliant. You really show the 'man behind the myth', which most other writers can't seem to do. I will definitely pick up your other works at some point.

 

My daughter bought it for me in kindle, never read a kindle book before, anyway it was excellent.
A great insight into the great man, beautifully written.

I got it on Friday and finished it in one sitting. Fantastic work and as usual superbly written.

 

My mind immediately went to Jimi Hendrix (the version I knew best) but I knew it had to be an older song than that. Sound title.

Also, I'm sure as hell ordering this now that it has hit my radar. You're not doing any more book signings in the Boston area any time soon, are you? (like that one where my mom happened to meet you by pure chance and brought home an autographed volume saying "you've never happened to hear of a 'Springy Toledo', have you?" )

 

Those who bought the eBook and liked it enough to post here, thank you. If you think it 5-star worthy on an Amazon review, please consider throwing something up there. I have neither an agent nor money for marketing and so rely on those to help sales.

 

That was the Boston Book Festival where I met your mom. She was cool and I forgive her for calling me "Springy"...! To buy a table there it cost over $500. I did well considering I was only selling "The Gods of War" but in the end made about three bucks after gas and lunch. So, no, that is for publishing houses, not single authors like me. Worth a shot though. I've been at the IBHOF memorabilia show for the past 5 years and a few festivals too, but won't be at those again until my next hardcover book. Probably 2021.
