I've had the same problem. Get some massage ( :D ) and make sure your muscles are warmed up before you begin your sprints. Do some stretching daily too.

It is likely just a strain.

Ice your ass, get some OTT crap from the NSAID class, and rest.

it seems since I meen doing road work that I thet this pain in my muscle area in the right hip/pelvic/outside upper leg area, but it went away last nite
most likely nothing to worry about
sprinnts are doing me a world of good, just in the past four days I have coughed up enough tar to roof a house with

You've probably just developed a minor tear in your gluteals, take it easy with the sprinting for approximately a week or two, and in the meanwhile do light weightlifting in the form of squats and romanian deadlifts. Hold ballistic movements to a minimum as far as the lower body is concerned.
Now, I'm talking about pain in the glute-muscle. If you're experiencing pain in your *******, you might wanna tell your boyfriend to lay off it for a while...

Does it reach to your lower back? Sounds like tight Glutes to me. Its a common problem. I suffer from it too. Just spend about 30 minutes having a good stretch works for me.
