I agree but even if they had put on an amazing performance, a world title shot was never on the cards. Every time 2 british heavyweights fight on ITV they mention the winner will fight for a world title, but it never happens. The British heavyweight scene is dreadful at the moment. Bruno must have been almost considering a comeback at ringside based on what he was seeing. Shameful.

When i was watching that fight and the commentators were talking about titles and all that the only thing i could think of was that our heavys are **** and are never going to get title shots, ever. I mean they are just plain boring and will never get off of this tedious roundabout, Frank Warren should be banned from promoting.

Was anyone actually looking forward to this fight anyway? Regardless of how thay performed last night neither of these two fighters would deserve to fight for the European let alone a world title. British HW boxing is...errr, not very good.

I felt sorry for skelton, he's not a boxer but he knows how to win, especially against mentally weak opposition such as Sprott, Wiliams and the rest of britains hw scene.

Go knows what happened to Sprott that night, I've seen him fight much better than that in the past. He never committed to an exchange all night long! As least skelton was looking for a fight, limited as he is.

Sounds like Warren is grousing that he won't be able to get them a title shot based off that...

...which saves his bacon really, because he's been spinning that line out for quite a while now. No need for everyone to see how poor he is at getting one, he can just point to that bad fight and shrug his shoulders.

I feel bad for Skelton, who was trying to fight and basically did what he always does. But with Sprott refusing to put in much effort, it made it a real stinker.

They are both shite and hopefully this will be the final fight of the long running British Heavyweight Merry-Go-Round, where Sprott, William, Skelton, and Harrison fight each other and,in the main, completely bore us to tears. Haye beating Mormeck and moving up to HW permanently can't come quickly enough!!
