SRR beat lamotta 5 out of 6 ,and Jake would walk through Benn. Benn was stopped by Watson ,and beat by 41 year old Malinga, Robinson would take him out ,and QUICK!

So your admitting you don't watch boxing and just watch movies like the Raging Bull?

Lamotta wasn't ko'ing anyone, far more likely Benn stops Lamotta than vice versa, Benn hits like a beast, is faster, stronger an equal boxers and Lamotta would come straight for him. Watson stopped him when he was green and Mallinga beat him when Benn had a shadow on his brain and all manner of internal injuries from the Gman fight

Don't agree PP, I think that LaMotta would really bash Benn up.

I don't see many things Lamotta does better and Benn loved someone to come right towards him. Look at what he did to GMAN, Barkley, DeWitt. Eubanks has 1 of the best MW chins ever, better than Lamottas and is slicker than Lamotta and said he had to goto hell and back to beat him.

Benn would be the biggest strongest hardest hitting Lamotta faced BY FAR

Lamotta loved to pick on little guys:

Williams was an old former LW and that was a controversal win

A 143lb Robinsons beat him and Robinson didn't weigh 155lbs until the final fight and he stopped him then

Zivic went to 2 SDs with him weighing 151lbs

Even Cerdan was a WW for 10years

What happened when Lamotta picked on someone his own size? Marshall clearly beat him. Plus he avoided Moore/Charles/Burley/Booker/

BTW I'm picking Robinson over Benn in a 10th round KO after sharing the early rounds where Benn starts fast, Robinson would take over with superior technique

Brings pressure and sucks up punishment. Benn had a better chin than he is generally given credit for imo, but he could be stopped on accumilation and generally being bashed up. His defence isnt' good so he gets hit a lot, which is also true of LaMotta of course. Meanwhile LaMotta will be throwing more punches than anyone ever threw at Benn, and is unlikely to be stoppped himself.

I don't think Eubank has a better chin than LaMotta. At all.

You think Benn hit FAR HARDER than Bob Satersfield? I think he did not hit as hard as Bob.

Benns a pressure fighter too but hit much much much harder, he also had truly amazing stamina. Benns chin really became a hell of a chin, I can't see Lamotta taking McClellans best punches, GMAN maybe the hardest hitting 160-168lber ever

Eubanks chin is something else because hes so STRONG, unmovable, way better than Lamottas, taking shots from Benn, 200lb banger Thompson who ko'd David Haye, his chin is truly something else.

I think Benn hits comparably to Satterfield and more importantly is a better boxer he land far more than Satterfield and wouldnt be gassed after 1miniute. Really Satterfield was a journeyman, albeit a banger but a green journeyman when he faced Lamotta

I really wonder how Lamottas chin would have stood upto the best big men at 160 like Charles, Moore, Bivins and Burley. If it could stand up to those he'd have a truly great chin. BUT IT WOULDNT

I think Satterfield and Benn and were stylistically similar too. Both came out throwing bombs and the way Benn fought furiously off the ropes reminded me of Satterfield.

LaMotta would likely take Benn's best, avoid most of it and come back in the later rounds when Benn would tire, similar to what he did against Satterfield.

Slow day in the General Forum...is that why you left?

No one knows Sugar Ray Robinson like Walker Smith....do you think Benn would pay Walker to convince Ray to throw the fight?

No I don't watch boxing ,Ive only been following it for 50 years.
Did I say Lamotta would ko Benn? I said he would walk through him .
Benn has neither the ring smarts ,or the chin to beat Robinson.

I guess we agree to disagree. But I couldn't disagree more, just for the record.

His chin is great. But as well as stopping Haye, Thompson stopped Eubank.

I think you grossly underestimate Jake's punch resistance.

Watson isn't going to stop LaMotta.

Eubank was getting stopped because of his crap stamina against Watson imo.I don't think he was that hurt by the punches that put him down.Just didn't have any legs left.

Benn would be too fast and too smart for Robinson. He has a granite chin too.
