I thought this was an upcoming title defense and was embarrassed and annoyed that I was ignorant of a top contender named "Arega Yunian". Relieved to hear it was just some novice record-padding tuneup (pretty typical practice for Thais once they're on top) who puked in the ring.
Bit off-topic but before my first amateur mma fight, I ate kebab two hours before the fight We have same-day weigh in system, usually couple of hours before the fight or so. Was my first time dropping weight and wanted to make sure I succeed - ended up actually dropping too much. Felt quite weak, was in a new town and didnt know places... Was in bit of a hurry too and afraid I would get lost so I wouldnt go far. Kebab place was nearby so I ate there and ate way too much since I was really, really hungry too...
