Not only did he beat Benetiz,Duran,Hearns,Hagler & kalule
He beat them when they were all on their longest win streaks of their career

    Hearns - 32 straight wins
    Duran - 41 straight wins
    Kalule - 36 straight wins
Benetiz - undefeated in 39 fights
    Hagler - 34 fights without a loss

The five fighters had a combined record of 240 wins, 3 losses & 3 draws when Leonard defeated them

His resume is really impressive, also considering that he only had 40 fights..

If they did the tests that they do for olympic athletes today they would find that he was riddled just like most of the stars in many sports from that era.

Very true, only guy to outbox him is Tommy Hearns but he still got that WIN props to him for that.

For me,although he performed poorly at times(more down to an inabilty to get by Tommy's rapier jab) that is his defining fight. To pull that one back from the brink removed any questions about his heart and resolve.
I also think the first Duran fight did more for his credibility in the long run than many of his wins.

FFS, do you even follow the sport of boxing? Leonard beat some of the greatest fighters who ever laced up the gloves, and did so within a few years. As for the Hagler fight, who gives a f*ck if he lost, won or drew. He held his own against arguably the greatest MW who ever lived, after not having had a fight for what, three years? SRL is the epitome of an ATG. The fights post-Hagler were a mistake. He admitted as much. He was spent, f*cked-up on blow. A prime SRL f*cking Annihilates Camacho, would have made him his *****.

Only someone without a clue would count his losses to Norris and Camacho against him.

Leonard is one of the very best.
