First-- I have SRL beating Hagler easily. Second, if SRL could TKO Hearns, why does no one think he could inflict much of a sting on Hagler? Fact is, SRL had power and it carried up with him to 160 lbs.
I had Leonard winning by 2 rounds, I think he had enough power at 160 to keep Hagler 'honest' but I don't know about actully hurting him.
I'm sure he could, but 9 times out of 10 on his way to trying to hurt Marvelous, SRL gets KO'd or badly hurt himself..
Fact is, SRL had decent power. He KOed Hearns as Hearns got tired not because of SRLs punching power. And obviously if you have SRL beating Hagler easy, you are going to be very biased. Hearns also had a MUCH weaker chin then Hagler. Comparing them to each like is like comparing a balloon filled with water and a balloon filled with concrete. They are both balloons but one aint gonna pop as easy.
In the Hagler fight, SRL was just going for points. It was a good strategy. But I mean, Hagler was feeling something-- it wasn't like what he said (I can't remember how he put it) about not feeling anything.
hagler had never been wobbled where as hearns had been KOed a few times. Hagler just has a much better chin.
