I had to ask after the RJJ/Hearns thread.

I think RJJ beats Hears, but idk about SRL at 160 or 168.

RJJ was a god with gloves at that weight no contest. RJJ by wide UD or TKO

I think Jones works him over at either weight.

SRL wasn't effective enough above 160 to have competed with RJJ who was probably #1 H2H at 168.

Roy Jones. And it's not even close.

What a fight, but jomes wins this one, roy went dominated fighters without losing rounds to great fighters, srl although great and higher in rankings would lose to him, he struggled with hagler, lostto duran and arguably lost gainst hearns in the second fight, he was also down in the 1st fight before he stopped hearns.

He wouldnt stop roy and he certainly wouldnt outbox him.

Damn RJJ without a doubt so far. I think the fight will be really close. I'll be rooting for my man SRL.

If Jones retired after the Ruiz fight or after Tarver I, everybody would be unanymous about RJJ > SRL :D

    Jones.

Leonard's performances above 160 consisted of:

Stopping Lalonde in 9 after getting dropped and also being hurt a couple of other times during the fight.
Getting dropped twice and being fortunate to receive a draw against a supposedly shot Hearns.
Winning a boring decision over 38 year old Duran.

He was certainly not the same fighter in the late 80s as he was in the late 70s/early 80s fighting at 147 (and 154 too).

I think Jones stops him in under 6 rounds.

Roy would turn Leonard into a punchbag..Slice & Dice then ref saves a battered Leonard no later than 6:deal

Leonard could'nt pull any of his infamous stunts with Roy, who'd show absolutely no respect for Leonard or pay heed to any of his ring antics & just get on with the job of dismantling Leonard in Style & at any weight:yep

    Roy Jones = pure class:bbb

Jones, you're asking about RJJ's god-weight vs. a weight SRL was not at his best at.
