It would look a lot like the first 8 rounds of Tito's fight with Oscar. Ray would have put even more leather on him, and possibly stop him. I honestly thought Oscar was on his way to getting a stoppage when he all but shut down his attack.
Leonard would win this imo , i really like Tito (and dont realy like SRL) , a true champion in every sense imo . But i just have to call this how i see it. Leonard would probably do a bit of what Oscar did , and a great boxer is bad news for Tito , as i feel that he never learned how to cut the ring down at the top level. But Leonard was always about the attack i believe , and his movement would not be totally defensively-minded , but to set up attacks . This gives Tito a chance , because any1 who watched Tito knows that , it doesnt matter how good the chin , standing in front of Trinidad makes you lose . But Leonard would be too clever for that i think , and get out of the way quick enough to be safe . Leonard imo
The fight would look a lot like the DLH fight but Leonard would have fought it more convincingly, landing straighter and harder. My prediction would be Leonard cornering Tito with very hard fast punches in the fourth. The fifth would be Tito trying to get revenge and then getting wobbled by a left hook but then bell rings. At the beginning of the sixth Leonard would come out like lightning from his corner and score a TKO against the ropes. The score cards would have shown Tito landing very little.
:good :good Good scenario! I actualy dont think Tito would get stopped , most will probably say Leonard by a stoppage , but Trinidad was never hurt at welter(all them knockdowns were only flash ones at the starts of fights). Although you could be right because Leonard would attack Tito like he hasnt been before , with his speed of hands. I think Tito would land a decent amount because Leonard would fight him at points , and Tito can land against any1 if they fight him at 147. But Leonard would give him a beating at some point , just dont think a stoppage , just opinion though
Trinidad's too straight up and down for him to be effective against Leonard. He doesn't have the same mobility. He needs to be coming forward to do damage, and he'd play right into Leonard's hands doing so. At welterweight, Trinidad was prone to getting knocked down, and none of those fighters who floored him were in the same class as Leonard. They never had the same quality when it comes to killer instinct either. Leonard KO7.
