SSM "Miguel Cotto is the toughest

I'd have to guess that JMM was his toughest fight...although MAB 2 was pretty rough as well.

 

Nah, I'm not gonna call you crazy, I'll just state the obvious saying you're wrong. Styles make fights and while Wright could have been more difficult, apparently he wasn't tougher. Mosley at 154lbs is not Mosley at his best. Yeah Wright dropped his hands but he's mainly a defensive fighter and he decided to take Mosley's shot when he could see them and take them. You can try and argue all you want but no matter what you say Shane Mosley himself is a much better source than you because he was actually there in flesh and life, not remembering what he saw on HBO, or whatever. Honestly I can't believe how a boxing fan can assume he knows more about the experiences of a fighter than the fighter himself

 

Cotto is tough no doubt but Pac is the likely the fastest fighter that Cotto will fight, and a southpaw. Cotto has had some issues with fast southpaws. If Cotto gets cut and starts backing up as usual, he would get taken out.

 

People say **** all the time they don't mean just to push an agenda. I guess you've never seen this.atsch Could it be Shane would love to rematch Cotto if he gets past Pac?:think Ask him this question again in 10 years.

 

Rooney you hate to hear Cotto get high credit like that don't you?

It puts pressure on your boy floyd to fight the Cotto or Pac winner, which you know can't happen. Because floyd wil get brutalized.

 

But he doesn't need to say that, he could just call him out like he did to Floyd, or say that Cotto is intimidated by him. Now that goes better with Mosley's style lately.

 

Why would he get brutalized when he holds the clear stylistic advantage against both?:deal

 

Mosley has an agenda he's about money now. His wife took him for half if not more of his money and he's coming to the end of his career. No doubt the guy would fight Cotto again without a second thought. Hell he was willing to go to 140 to fight Pac that shows you how desperate he is when he clearly wouldn't have a shot at wining at that weight just a nice payday.

 

fraud's stylistic advantage only works when the handpicked opponent is older, slower or has any other clear disadvantages. PAcquiao and Cotto will blast through Fraud's smoke and mirror skills.

just watch how fraud will not be in attendance next week. nor will he want to talk about the fight. he will be in hiding on the night of Nov. 14, presumably with Ellerbe within arm's length at his side.

 

Yes, Mosley is kind of desperate to get in a big money fight. But the only one trying to fit everything around their agenda is you my friend. If Mosley comes out tomorrow and says something like "you know what, actually Wright and Forrest were tougher fighters than Cotto..." I'll just stay quiet. But that's not what he said, and he didn't say it to Cotto or in a way Cotto would find out for sure. This reporter just comes out and says it which is pretty random if that's what you're counting on to interest someone in a rematch. I'm sorry to say this because I enjoy your posts, but your logic here is flawed and you're basing something like a fact that you can't prove let alone convince other people that you're right.

That's just me I call it like I see it. I'm not saying Cotto isn't tough, hell he went 10+ rounds with a guy with loaded gloves he's tough. But I just think Shane said this because Cotto is a guy he's targeting that's all.

 

Well it's no problem really but I just think you should understand why we believe Mosley and think it's impressive for him to say that after having fighting big 154 pounders like Mayorga, Vargas and even Winky Wright. The Cotto-Mosley fight was action packed through out all 12 rounds with both guys trading heavy leather and taking each others best shots. Wright pretty much outboxed Mosley. But that's not to say I don't respect your view, I just think Shane spoke what he meant. :good
