I remember hearing 8 when the fight was signed/announced but haven't been able to find anything validating it.

I'm sure Arum will set up a fight between Margarito and someone like Alfonso Gomez for the vacated title get some gold on Margo.

The WBC belt is all that matters to Money. And to a degree, he has a point. The IBF/IBO strap he got from Judah is the only other other alphabet title I know of that he has won in his career.

Is there really a fee associated with a belt? N i was thinkin if he just vacated the belt then there would not be a forced remach clause.

smart thing to do. Why pay a portion of your hard earned money for a belt that means jack ****? This fight isn't about a belt. It's about 2 of the 3 best fighters in the world going toe to toe. They should both keep every dime possible.

When fighters get to the level of Floyd and Manny, they really should do this more often. They are established superstars, nobody is watching their fights over a paper belt. The only time they should pay the sanctioning fee is for legacy purposes, such as moving up in class for the first time.

Has this got anything to do with a mandetory challanger to the belt? If it isnt for the belt PBF is free to fight whoever he wants. Just a thought as i dont no.
