Belts collect nothing but dust. This could show that hes coming back to fight big names, he's done collected enough belts in his career anyways.

Mayweather doesn't fight mandatories. He's well past that stage in his career.

I'm shocked, he'd earn more money if he was champ.

As much as I hate this guy he is standing up to something! Who needs those belts when you have reached stardom? They are just all a bunch of corrupt organizations.

    At first win the belts
    Then reach superstardom
Finally throw the belts as they become worthless :hey

No, he wouldn't. He's one of the marquee names in the sport. He'd actually lose money by paying sanctioning fees and being forced into defending it against some bull**** mandatory down the road.

I'm not a Floyd fan but good for him telling the WBA to go **** themselves.

If more boxers did this it would do a lot more to clean up boxing than any drug test.

No he won't, these days Floyd Mayweather the character sells fights, nobody cares about the tin pot belt. Seriously in all the hype for this fight that it's a welterweight title fight has hardly been mentioned. So he saves himself 6 figures in sanctioning fees. A pretty smart move.

    Exactly.

He said he would do the same before the Judah fight as well and that was before Judah lost to Baldomir. He was paying for the WBC and none for the rest.
