What would you do for a stability routine. Im at a gym now with access to most pieces of equipment, foam rollers, fit balls, medballs ect ect. I want a day where im focusing on stability/ balance and flexibility exercises. Pretend i know nothing ideas on exercises, reps sets ect thanks for any help
plank and side blank. plank for 1.5-2 min transfer sets to both sides for same amount of time then back to plank. if too easy during plank move from elbows to hands back to elbows.
already do planks 3-4 times a week and core work outs, great exercise but looking for stuff more towards stability/ balance than core strength
don't need a day for that stuff, it should be a part of your overall plan and more frequent than once a week to some extent.
yeh i know mr small, same as flexibility work little and often is better. Time is just becoming a factor training 6 days a week for a couple hours is taking up alot of time so its just figuring how to split it up. I just thought for example tomorrow iv got a planned rest day and some stability work and maybe a light swim would go nicely what would you suggest? maybe take an exercise a day on the end of workouts im already doing or something? cheers
strength of course, but it is great for balance and stability also but if your already on it then its all smiles!
Stand on the less Dominant leg, with the Dominant 6" of the floor knee up. Now shut the Dominant eye.
thats more along the lines of what i was thinking scrap!! do you do it for time in rounds ect? anything ... less advanced to build up to , ill give it a shot but think ill be on my arse more than on the roller !
I find doing push-ups with the fitness ball a good exercise. Some sets with feet on the ball, some sets with hands on the ball.
skipping rope will help with balance, skip on one leg for a but then switch, then hop on two legs, then back to one.... it helps a lot with my balance
