    I agree.
I figured from his performance that Green was overtrained and received the most difficult matchup for his entrance into the tournament.
It would have been nice for Green's first match to have been with Abraham or Froch and he would have had a better chance of coming into teh tounament with a win.

I expect Green will handle Kessler pretty surely. Kessler is a much better matchup for Green and Kessler's chin a a near perfect matchup to Green's fist behind a left hook.

I have Green beating Kessler by TKO in the early rounds. Remember, although Green isn't the most accomplished boxer, Kessler is mostly hype and a "B" level Euro-fighter at best. He is susceptible to a Green left hook.

Write this down: Green beats Kessler by TKO. :yep

I voted for Ward and AA.

Ward propably will win but I still believe in AA.

I think AA was coming very strong at the end of dirrel fight despite being being clearly behind at score cards.

I will not Abandon AA, I will go till the very end wit Kind mudafuka Arthur even the boat might sink:yep

that could be possible about Green - but why is this even a frickin issue for him at this point? He and his trainers are ******s if they cant get their act together for their 5th fight as SMW? COME ON! What a bunch of friggin muppets... He looked purty thin coming in the fight, my perception Ward looked like the bigger guy hahahaah

I got Kessler winning by decision. Hes got his ABC's down good, it was good enuf to beat out a VERY GAME Carl Froch. If Froch cant knock out Kessler, theres a strong chance Green wont be able either. Green will NOT win a decision

LOL, what a BUM list, and completely wrong filled with wishful thinking versus boxing knowledge.
I'll remember your prediction for the time when I rub all European faces in their own shet for being unskillful at predictions. :yep:good

I don't believe either Calzaghe or Froch are as big punchers as Green. Green is no boxer, but he can punch and I think the way Kessler carries his hands lower and lower as the bout goes on he is not as fast as he needs be to fight the style of fight he habitually does. Froch is not a big puncher, and neither is Kessler. Nor or either master boxers. They both are average and in this case, so is Green. I think Green is hungry enough to really bring it to Kessler, and with his loss to Ward, Kessler's confidence is a little low.
If it goes to teh scorecards, Kessler by decision. However, I don't believe it will and in this case it's Green by premature stoppage; TKO. :good:yep

lol, have mercy on your fellow ESB bro!
what if he actually guesses them all correctly?!?
Ultimately, each fighter has a chance to make their own destiny despite the odds...
Realistically, i do give Abraham a fair chance to KO Ward, because of the puncher's chance. Other than that, i give the win to Ward.

    eh POSSIBLY
99 to 1 he comes in "sick" again lol
im honestly turned off with his lack of integrity or just lousy fight prep

Kessler is coming off a good win against an equal rival, Green is coming off a total ass-whooping by Ward. Confidence restored, and confidence shot. There's nothing i see in Green that can threaten Kessler except maybe a homerun righthand. He's been big fights vs Calzaghe and Froch, and hadnt been really hurt. I dont see him getting KO'd.

Gonna have to say that Kessler's style lends to Green looking better, compared to having to fight Ward. Whatever the case, it should be an exciting fight to watch!

    Some interesting historical paralels.

After Gene Tunney retired as heavyweight champion, a similar tournament was held to find his sucessor.

George Godfrey was not allowed to take part because of his skin colour, so he becomes the Lucian Bute character by default.

Max Schmeling got a place in the tournament as a little known European fighter, who was not expected to get anywhere. In his opening fight he was matched with Johny Risko, who was the betting favourite to win the tournament, and beat him to a pulp. This was a bit like the Kessler Ward fight.

Schmeling then put a beating on the #3 rated Paulino Uzcdun, and won the final of the tournamet against Jack Sharkey on a foul. Thus Schmeling found himself the heavyweight champion in his third fight on American soil.

I wonder if Ward is the new Schmeling.

Ward is the most complete fighter in the the tournament, with only Dirrell coming a distant second. Skills win barring miracle punches. Ward will win the S6, get ready for it. Then FINALLY, just MAYBE Bute can fight a fighter with a pulse.
