Didnt Tony Weeks just get the worst stoppage of the year award? Romero vs Barroso?
Well now he is tied with Ortiz vs Lawson and its barley January.
Lets see if Weeks breaks his own record this year..and its still early.

Lets just say there's a pattern to his decisions, as if there is an agenda.......

I’d put this one down to incompetency, it was pretty clear that Ortiz had nothing coming back to worry him, so he didn’t really gain anything from the stoppage. Same fight for a young prospect, I’d agree probably agendas involved.

Rolly-Barroso though, hard to see that as anything other than agenda-driven … he was getting more than he could handle.

Sack this man immediately, he should not be near a ring again and must be being paid to fix the fights.

Besides being the ref when David Morrell put Aidos Yerbossynuly into a coma he was also the ref when Leavander Johnson died in 2005

    He should retire from reffing

The stoppage was grossly premature but there was only going to be one outcome of the fight; Lawson was saved a beating.

His early stoppages almost always go in favour of the home fighter.

Is it fair to say that the home fighter is usually better and, generally speaking, less likely to find themselves on the receiving end of multiole unanswered blows?

funny how fans cannot stop complaining about early stoppages but fighters getting beaten beaten into brain damage is just passed over with a "damn that sucks". only seen one get called a bad stoppage.

Agree 100% Tony Weekes used to be a good referee today to put it bluntly he sucks !!!!! Is it he incompetent or is it because he's on the take? Either way he should never ref another fight

Complaining about an early stoppage is one thing but what Weeks did last night was pathetic and defeats the purpose of the sport.

Boxing is a brutal sport but thats the sport and blood and guts is what the fans want to see.

If you cant grasp that reality and think stoppages like that are ok then maybe boxing isent for you.
Maybe you should start watching tennis.

if you think fighters literally being beaten to the verge of death is a bigger problem than an early stoppage in an inconsequential fight you should apply for disability benefits. theyre people trying to earn a living, not toy soldiers and if he wants to work again he took so little damage he could likely be back in the ring before February
