    With your logic maybe they should stop tackling in the NFL also and convert to flag football so noone gets hurt. Lol!

    To be fair the fight probably shouldn't have been sanctioned. Lawson was ranked 99 by Boxrec. Ortiz is now ranked 4.

    Tell me smartarse, where would you have ranked Lawson?

    The guy was badly outmatched and the fight shouldn't have been sanctioned.

    No, because he has a track record of delivering early stoppages. He is not fit to officiate.

    Man, how in the hell can they clear the guy to fight?

    I retract my first comment about Weeks, even though I think he is past it in terms of being in the ring for such fights.

    That fight should never have happened.

    So your whole angle is that boxing is too violent and they could get hurt? Really? Its called a contact sport and yes the harsh reality is people get hurt and sometimes pass in a contact sport.
    Nobody hopes for that or wants to see that happen and when it does happen it is sad. But still that's the sport.
    Dude, you have got to realize your on a boxing forum.
    I mean what are going to do next go stand in front of a pub and pass out flyers about how alcohol is bad for the liver?

    LOL and people think it's crazy to say Canelo's fights are fixed.

    Tony Weeks is straight up paid off just like Kovalev and Smith was against Canelo. Laughable.

    Remember when Tony Weeks stopped Kovalev Ward 2 fight after a nut shot, didn't give Kovalev any time or anything, straight up called it off. Tony Weeks should be investigated (as well his handlers) for corruption
