Fair enough. I don't think they've been heavily favoured though. They have been close contests which could have gone either way. Also i've seen a couple of fights with Brits where the scoring has been generous the other way (Joshua in his QF. There was a 2pt difference going into r3 which was proposterous considering how bad he was dominating). The Brits have won the majority of the close fights they've been involved in. But i wouldn't go as far as saying heavily favoured
Seriously no one thought Ogogo lost his 2nd fight? Got 2 8counts, plus it went to countback and they still had it level. I want Ogogo to win gold but I think he lost against both Hartel and the Ukrainian guy.
There have been a WHOLE HOST of disgusting decisions these olympics. Can't remember the last time the scoring across the board has been this ****. This has lead a lot of you guys to the conclusion that the British fighters have been heavily favoured. This has not been the case. The scoring has just been **** across the board! Amongst that the British fighters got a couple of gift decisions and robberies go their way. But there have been dozens of them involving fighters from every country. I don't think there's been a pattern. A lot of the British guys got the nod in close fights which could have gone either way. But then Stalker didn't get the nod in a close fight yesterday. I understand that with the shitty scoring fight after fight and the build up of frustration, when a Brit gets the nod in a close one the natural tendincy is to shout ''Robbery'' or ''Favouritism". But if you view the fights on their own merit, there really has only been two clear robberies IMO. It's not a case of every british fightre getting gifts or favours. The scoring has been **** across the entire tournament.
Ogogo lost his second fight imo. Robbery. But against Hartel it could have gone either way. Close fight. No robbery
Ogogo has been by far the luckiest British fighter so far, tbh every one of them could have lost given different judging. Stalker was very lucky in his first round and last nights fight was 50/50.
:good Stalker won comfortably but, honestly, he was such an ungracious wanker in "defeat" I thought as he flounced out without shaking hands that it served him ****ing right.
