Carlos quintana stepped up to fight Williams after Cintron pulled out and Judah refused to take the fight.

That scenario was a bit of a farce actually.

After Hatton defeated Maussa they were looking for a big name in the States, one that presumably Hatton could look good against.

Baldomir fitted the bill perfectly, linear welter champion - but he started talking telephone numbers and the Hatton camp backed out.

It was then decided to stay at light welter to face Juan Lazcano, who was mando at the time. Seven weeks out from the fight, he pulled out with a bad hand - leaving Collazo, who was training for somebody else.

The poor performance (IMO) came from Hatton already being down to 152, and thus only had to lose 5lb in 7 weeks - meaning beer, takeaways etc and he came in out of shape.
