Kashtanov is getting hit with right jabs on the mouth as he forces his way inside. Kashtanov is giving Valera no quarter, nailing him with right hand leads up top and dish-ragging the body. Valera switches to orthodox and once more shows a decent hard straight left jab. Kashtanov chases after him and misses as Valera goes slack with his arms low and does a little belly-dancing, tossing counters up from the holster.

Round 7

Kashtanov is tripling his jab, force-feeding Valera and driving him across the ring. Big right hand by Kashtanov. Valera is still in the orthodox Philly shell, using some Mayweather left elbow flip-ups to blow and nudge Kashtanov in the chest uncomfortably. Valera tries a right hand lead backing up but Kashtanov leans clear of it and keeps pumping the jab on him. Kashtanov fakes a 1-2 at the head and instead buries a left hook downstairs. Valera is holding now. A lot. Kashtanov is rendered ineffective throwing combinations with his long arms folded up awkwardly but Valera is generating nothing of his own. Going back to headhunting, Kashtanov is able to stuff a right hand into Valera's face and knock him into a backward slant.

Round 8

Kashtanov is firing the straight right as Valera doubles a right hook into the ear, winding his arm up with a big exaggerated motion in between. Kashtanov is marching forward and jabbing at Valera's throat, nose and jaw, prodding at each tier by turn. Kashtanov's own nose is bloodied. Kashtanov is tapping with right hands on the back as Valera tries holding. Valera goes to a knee but ruled a push, which it was. Right hand by Kashtanov, partially caught on the left shoulder of Valera. 1-2 by Valera missing. A couple of light jabs by Kashtanov.
