Stanley Christodoulou........He scored the controversial Lewis-Holyfield I draw fight, 116-113 for Lewis.
He saw it a bit wider than I did, but this particular instance illustrates one of the downfalls of the current scoring system moreso than corruption. If a guy barely wins every round by a single punch, he'll win a 120-108 decision that looks far more lopsided on paper than it was in reality. All it takes is another judge missing a handful of punches (or scoring punches that missed) through the course of the fight to call the same match a draw. Trout didn't have many clear rounds to himself that weren't closely contested or that there wasn't a decent argument for Alvarez winning. As such, I'm not surprised there was a wide range of scores even though I had it closer. If it were a judge with a history of these things, it'd be one thing, but Stanley's got the benefit of the doubt from me.....at least on this one.
