I think Hagler would outbox him, but Ketchel would just keep attacking.

 

Hagler KO late, Ketchel catches him with some great shots, but Hagler's chin and ring generalship is the breaking point here

I like Hagler by SD....Ketchel did have an impressive little match with Langford by accounts though most thought Langford was better but it sounded competitive which says something about Ketchel ability....

Ketchel winning a series with Papke, smashing Hugo Kelly and both Sullivan brothers says even more for his ability.

 

Definitely rumoured as such. A close fight between the two with Langford getting the better of it over the short distance is entirely feasible though, so I treat it as such.

 

I dont think Ketchel's team wanted it. He was in decline and on the pipe.

 

I have read that too it is certainly plausible. I am also of the opinion that a world class fighter of similar size a mean streak and murderous punching power is good enough to hang with another. Certainly dangerous enough to make Langford forget about holding back if Ketchel is hitting him.

 

Hagler. Better all around. But Ketchel screws Haglers girlfriend after the bout.
