If it's going to be a war which one would expect with Walker and we are talking the best Ketchel......I'm taking Ketchel. What he can hit he can knock out.

Walker fought and knocked out plenty of heavyweights, don't think Ketchel's power is going to be any problem for him. I'll take Walker's chin over Ketchel's too. This fight would probably be a slugfest considering the personalities and styles of the two fighters.

Walker by ko late but its one of those fights where anything can happen

I like Walker versus Ketchel. There was a time when Mickey was considered the greatest pfp fighter ever by some boxing enthusiasts.

I remember reading an article years ago on Walker's two fights with Ace Hudkins. Their first fight was a barn-burner in which Walker won a close decision. Everyone was anticipating the same in the rematch. Hudkins was very similar to Ketchel - one way of fighting, trench warfare - but the article made a valid point when it came to the rematch. It stated that the difference between Walker and Hudkins was the fact that aside from being a hard man, Walker could also box. And he walked away with a clear decision in the rematch rather than the close toe-to-toe variety. A point to think about when making this mathchup.

Walker didn't face many hitters at heavyweight.I think Ketchel's power would be a problem for anyone up to about 180lbs.

I suggest Ketchel by KO about round 8 to 10. Great fight though. Beastly.

Mickey Walker had fine boxing skills in addition to his other qualities as a truly great fighter. As a result, I pick him to beat Stanley Ketchell.
