Pound for pound could he be the hardest ever puncher? after looking at some pics cant believe he is only 23 he is the oldest looking 23 year old i have ever seen, he looks more like 33. Any intresting stories or facts about stanley?
He was more then likely bi-polar. His moods shifted from extreme highs to manic, borderline psychotic lows. He was known to be lucid and level headed one moment and then minutes later pointing a gun at one of his best friends, soon after breaking down, crying and apolgizing profusely. Living the kind of life Ketchel did, completely unmedicated in a time as rough as his plus having a condition that even today has a high mortality rate = not ****ing good.
I agree, he looks way older than his age. He lived a rough life though so that has a lot to do with his features. Not to mention he was a boozer and supposedly a drug abuser.
lol so he was a natural then, i box my self dont train as much as i should and i have not always lived a clean life, but i can punch a bit, av had ten fights winning 8, the guy in your avator eugene hart is one of my favourites, i have somethink in common with him when i was younger i had a bad brake in my leg and ankle so one side of my body went so strong, like his
True. Much of Ketchel record is inflated by no-names. Ketchel did not KO ranked heavies in good working order. Fitz did several times. I have seen Ketchel vs Papke and Johnson. Ketchel looks stationary, easy to hit, and far too in-active. Ketcehl was a wild swinging type without a lot of science. I do think Ketchel had a great punch for a middle weight. I do not see great savagery or skills on his filmed fights.
