I mean that liver shot from tank was alot more legit than the one hopkins gave DE LA HOYA IMO. Oscar sold that body shot like he was in the main event of wrestlemania.

The shot that put him down in the 2nd was harder and landed cleaner…bounced right back up.

What a letdown of a fight. Reminds me of Marshall-Shields. Garcia simply couldn't deliver, not without the experience, IQ, and mentality of a man immersed in the game.

My ten bucks (R.I.P) were the only thing keeping it interesting after Ryan went into his shell post-KD.

Good man. That what I was telling people all along beforehand. You will notice Tank was quicker than Garcia.

He did get up immediately after the count though.

They are but that wasn't far enough around the back to be a liver shot. It was just a deadly precise and well timed rib shot - and, crucially as I mentioned previously and don't see many people talking about, it caught García on an exhalation.

Why do you find it hard to like the guy? Do you like boxing? If you do appreciate his fight game.

Olu, I agree that Garcia is not on Tank's level although I admit I didn't think that before the fight. (Silly me) However, I would disagree that Tank has been beating much better fighters than Garcia. Other than the fight with going-up-one-weight-class-too-many Leo Santa Cruz and then undefeated Jose Pedraza I don't think any of Tank's other opponents are at Garcia's level.

In the first 1.5 rounds it seemed García's speed and power had surprised Davis but obviously he was either a) playing possum or b) able to recover from his shock and adjust on the fly. So he's either a more cerebral strategist than many of us gave him credit for, or a better improvisational fighter and thinker on his feet.
