staredowns ....

Wilfred Benitez shoved Maurice Hope during the staredown after the pre-fight instructions. He also got into long staredowns with Tommy Hearns & Ray Leonard. I think that was when he entered the ring against Leonard, not when the ref was telling them the instructions at mid-ring.

Mike Tyson-Peter McNeeley had a sort of funny staredown. Tyson looking at McNeeley, following his eyes, while McNeeley laughed and smiled. One of the rare occasions when Tyson got into the staredown before the fight.

 

Benitez wins this all time award ..the best ,his stares back then ..scared me and I was even fight him.

 

Hagler vs Hears a scary staredown

 

I was only young, but Benn used to intimidate at the weigh ins, i can can only imagine how his opponents felt.

 

I thought the other 3 guys "out-stared" him, if thats even possible. lol.

 

Hearns and Benitez had a good staredown, then the fight turned out to be a 15 round chess match.

indeed. Vitali vs. Lennox was awesome. Although Lewis won the fight, Klitschko definitely won the staredown in addition to the 'event'
