Starling dropped his guard at the exact second the bell rang, just watch it very slowly. It should have been a dq win for marlon starling.

As I see it, the punch not only landed after the bell, but it WAS STARTED AFTER THE BELL. Clear foul. Ref blew it.

Marlon did relax on the bell but he also threw a shot just after the bell it wasnt much so might have been a push or to touch gloves.

I see it as it started on the bell.

Does anyone agree Starling should have been givin time to recover

Thought it was a decent punch he threw. May not have had murder written on it but it went beyond a push or a touch of gloves type action imo.

If he had relaxed mentally because of the bell, that's a good argument for Starling keeping the belt because if it doesn't stand as a legitimate ko, that is, one simply caused by catching Marlon off guard in the course of action (albeit a second too late) then there's really no justification for Molinares to be able to keep the belt. Not sure Marlon had relaxed though....

He apparently twisted his ankle so it would have been hard for him to get into fighting shape even with the 5 minutes to recover. That and the fact that he was probably concussed and didn't know his glove from his ******* 5 minutes after the fight.

He probably should have been given the five minutes just to see if he could come good, but I don't see him being able to continue.

Should have been a no-contest and Starling should have kept the belt. The punch was starting as the bell rang, and it wasn't intentionally landed. Cortez blew that call IMO.

More i watch it the more it looks like a punch but.....

............. the rest of his body had seemed to relax so was he relaxed or what?

didnt know about the ankle and when you say it 5 mins wouldnt have been much but a five minutes to recover and if not a ND with immediate rematch

Can't see why anyone can say he was relaxing or not from it.He had just that second thrown a punch. It all happened so quickly it's hard to tell but it seemed to me he just got caught, if the exact same exchange happens ten seconds earlier i'd wager on him getting knocked out.
